November is a Great Time to Catch some Philadelphia Sports!

There’s no disputing it – Philadelphia is one of the greatest sports cities in the country. There are some people out there who say that’s impossible because we haven’t had a national title since the Phillies won the World Series in 2008. However, our victories don’t make us one of the best. Our fans do.

Philadelphia sports fans are a true representation of the people of our city. They are tough, passionate, headstrong, and unwavering. Regardless of how many losses our teams accrue, Philadelphia sports fans are proud to show their support and love for the players who represent the City of Brotherly Love.

Even though the Phillies are taking a breather, November is one of the best times to be a part of Philadelphia sports. The Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers are all in action, which means you can catch a game nearly every night of the week. If you haven’t been paying close attention to Philadelphia sports and want to catch up, here are some of the highlights.

Flyers
The Flyers kicked off their season with an impressive victory over the Los Angeles Kings, but then quickly settled into a pattern of barely losing and barely winning games. However, these games have been incredibly exciting to watch. Superstars Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, and Wayne Simmonds have been helping their team score three or more goals in nearly every game. While goaltending has been questionable, there are quite a few shining stars amongst the team, and the games are so much fun to watch.

Sixers
Honestly, the Sixers have had a rough go of it. Nearly a month into the season, they didn’t have a single win. Don’t let their record fool you – they have lost by small margins in nearly every game. Joel Embiid, Jahlil Okafor, and Sergio Rodriguez have been putting up more than 10 points a game each, so you will definitely see some action and talent when you tune in for a game.

Eagles
After an incredible start to the season, the Eagles have been battling and working their hearts out every game. The quarterback, rookie sensation Carson Wentz, has been leading the team like a seasoned veteran, which has been a pleasant surprise that no one expected. As we continue through the second half of the season, the Eagles are going to be a team to watch in the NFC East.

Whether you are tailgating or watching any of our great teams from the comfort of your couch, a Geno’s cheesesteak is one of the best game-day foods. Be sure to pick one (or two) up!
