Geno Vento Stars Alongside Oteri’s Bakery On TLC’s Bakery Boss

Cake-boss

TLC’s newest show, Bakery Boss, made its way to Philadelphia a few weeks ago with host Buddy “Cake Boss” Valestro to help revamp the 100 year old Philadelphia establishment, Oteri’s Italian Bakery. In each episode, Buddy travels across the country in search of helping failing bakeries rise to the top.

Buddy’s visit to Philadelphia coincided with our 47th anniversary, so he gave the Oteri’s staff the challenge of baking us a larger than-life Geno’s Philly cheesesteak cake. The cake was revealed in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art with a huge crowd, ready and waiting to see what the Oteri’s bakers had created.

Geno’s Steaks is a Philadelphia restaurant that specializes in making the best cheese steaks in Philadelphia. We use only the freshest ingredients.  Geno’s Steaks was founded Joey Vento. Geno’s is located in South Philadelphia at the intersection of 9th Street and Passyunk Avenue.

A huge thank you to Oteri’s Italian Bakery, for the beautiful creation!

The episode airs on Monday, December 31st at 9 PM on TLC. Be sure to tune in, and let us know what you think!
