Can you believe that it has already been summer for over a month? Time flies when you’re having fun, and we know that our community has been having a lot of it as concerts, festivals, and special events have made their way to the city.

Chelsea FC Stops By Geno’s Steaks!
Geno’s Steaks’ status as a landmark and home of the best South Philly cheesesteak means that we are no strangers to special guests including musicians, actors, television personalities, and sports stars. Recently, Chelsea Football Club stopped by to pay us a visit, and it was truly an honor to serve them! Our Geno’s squad really enjoyed spending some time with Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, and the rest of the team. Chelsea FC, thank you for coming and you are all welcome any time!
Our Owner, Geno Vento, Ties the Knot!
Those of you who know about our restaurant know that at the center of it all is our beloved owner, Geno Vento. Geno does so much for Geno’s Steaks, the team, and our local area, and we really look forward to the opportunity to celebrate him whenever we can. That being said, we are excited to announce that he has recently gotten married to his partner, Andre Gaspar! Geno and Andre enjoyed a meal at Collegeville Italian Bakery Pizzeria surrounded by family and friends to honor the happy couple and celebrate their love. Congratulations Geno and Andre! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and health, and we are truly proud to call you both family.
Summer Concerts and Events Abound
One of our favorite things about the summertime is that there is so much to do in the city. Concerts are an all time favorite, and people who are interested can see shows from current superstars to underground acts all summer long. Philly and the greater Philadelphia area has already had some incredible sets this summer including Phish, Post Malone, Dave Matthews Band, Yellowcard, Erykah Badu, and Beyoncé.
Lucky for the rest of us who want to see some interesting acts, there are still many more to come. Luke Combs is coming to Lincoln Financial Field from July 28-29, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa will be at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on July 30th, Drake and 31 Savage at Wells Fargo Center July 31-August 1, the list goes on! Concerts may not be everyone’s jam, and there will also be a number of other special events in the city this summer as well. For example, Philly’s Chinese Lantern Festival will be at Franklin Square until August 13th!
